My prayer is that I may be used of God to bless others. I have been singing most of my life and really believe I get more of a blessing than the members of the congregation.
Almost everyone I know has their favorite scriptures and I am no exception. In John, chapter 3, I found these words: 16. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life". 17. "For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved". (KJV)
After my retirement from almost 30 years in Law Enforcement I have been blessed to be able to concentrate on my first love, singing Southern Gospel music for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In February of 2012 recording sessions were held with my dear friend Mark Little at TML Sound in White Hall, Arkansas and in June of 2012 the CD, Singing the Gospel - Southern Style was released with fifteen songs that I pray will be a blessing to everyone. I give special thanks to my sweet sister, Karen Mixon Copeland for recording a duet with me on the beautiful song 'Consider the Lilies'. Other songs on the CD are 'What a Lovely Name', 'I Can Trust Jesus', 'The Lighthouse', 'Without Jesus You Won't Make Heaven', 'The Holy Hills', 'Look For Me', 'Who Am I' and seven more.
The new CD is now complete and will be ready for shipment around mid September!!! I am excited to announce that the new CD will be titled Leavin' On My Mind, and will feature that great Rusty Goodman song . There are eleven other great songs including; Sweeter As The Days Go By, Mercy Walked In, I Won't Have To Worry, Hold Me While I Cry, I'll Be Alright As Soon As I Touch Calvary, Had It Not Been, He Is Mine and Look For Me At Jesus' Feet.
I am proud to have recorded a new song by, Chrisy Hinson, a wonderful lady of Gospel Music and a marvelous songwriter. He Fixed It For Me is
one of the best new songs I have heard in a long, long time and it is
really powerful. It really tells how I feel about what Jesus has done
I am happy to announce that my sister, Karen Mixon Copeland, and my nephew, David Norwood, have joined me to form a trio we have named 'REDEMPTION' and we recorded two numbers, Hide Thou Me and When He Was On The Cross that close out this CD. I pray you will enjoy each of these songs just as we pray for the sweet anointing of the Holy Spirit on each song as we record it.
I ask everyone to pray for this ministry that souls may be won for Christ. Our desire is to be a blessing to all we come in contact with. Join us in praying for our troops, our leaders and this great nation. God bless America!
